The Angel of Death
Dove was created as the Angel of Death. A title forced upon them unwillingly, but then again, who chooses to be present? Despite their title, Dove remained a kind soul yearning for connections with others. Yet, the work of an Angel never ends, and an angel’s duties must always be completed. As an omnipresent being, Dove has no parents or guardians and has existed since the beginning of time. As punishment for refusing duties, Dove was sent to live amongst the mortals with a burning desire for connection. Blending in, convincing themselves that perhaps if they act like a mortal, they can truly be one. Dove resides in the bustling City of New York, a life of peace alongside the noise. But everything can’t remain peaceful… An angel’s duties are never truly completed.

I will spark joy into the hearts of young and old, cheerful and sorrowful. No longer will I be a vessel for destruction. No longer will I inflict despair. I will never be a symbol of the carnage that I left behind. I will be a beacon of hope. I am the catalyst for life.
